Rehabilitation & Mobility

STEADYphysio @ home can help you feel more confident and independent with mobility in your home or community.

Our home-based Physiotherapy service is ideal if you

  • are rebuilding  mobility, strength and energy levels as a result of hospitalisation, ageing or disability
  • are being treated by our physiotherapist for vertigo
  • are at high risk of falls
  • have limited ability to travel to our service
  • need a walking aid or other mobility equipment to improve your independence at home, or
  • need community-based rehabilitation services (e.g. at your local gym, park, shopping centre or on public transport).

GROUP EXERCISE

   

STEADYphysio® offers a range of evidence-based physiotherapy exercise programs designed to safely address mobility issues and keep you strong & balanced on your feet:

  

  • STEADYmoves® - our evidence-based balance and fall prevention exercise program will help keep you steady & confident on your feet. Sessions are led by our experienced fall prevention physiotherapist and all exercises are individually prescribed and closely supervised for maximum effectiveness and safety. This program is available in your own home or at one of our venues (small group or individual sessions available).
  • STEADYrehab™ - a Physiotherapist-led therapeutic group program with individually-prescribed exercises to help you reach your mobility goals. This program is ideal for regaining your mobility, strength, and conditioning following a time of inactivity, illness or surgery.
  • STEADYtone - a fun chair-based strength & conditioning exercise class for seniors with limited mobility.
  • Keep Active - a low to moderate level strength & conditioning exercise class for more mobile seniors.
  • STEADY Strength & Balance - an evidence-based program designed for seniors who are at low risk of falls, but who would like a challenging strength & balance exercise session to help them remain steady on their feet. 
  • GLA:D™ - our GLA:D-credentialled Physiotherapist can progress you through the GLA:D program, which has been shown to reduce pain, and improve mobility and function, if you have hip or knee arthritis.
  • Tai Chi for Health - enjoy improved health outcomes and reduce your risk of falling through our Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention or Tai Chi for Diabetes classes, which are led by registered Tai Chi Leaders.
  • PDmoves™ - a Physiotherapist-led program based on neuroactive exercises, which have been shown to improve outcomes for people living with Parkinson's Disease.
